About us

England & Company was formed in 1980 by Richard England (our namesake) and David Lawes. The practice grew quickly and was soon providing services to clients from a variety of trades and professions.

Today the business is run by its three Directors David Lawes, Cheryl Lawes and Daniel Whitcher who are supported by a further 15 professional team members. We moved to new larger premises at 7 & 8 Church Street, Wimborne in early 2008, which enables us to facilitate further expansion, now in a town centre location.

We are a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, Registered Auditors and Chartered Tax Advisers and act for in excess of 1000 clients.

We were awarded the ACCA kite mark for quality in 2006, illustrating that we have met the highest standards required by our professional body.

We are also a ‘gold standard’ ACCA training practice which underlines our commitment to training and developing our staff.

We are passionate about the advice we give and it must reflect not only our technical expertise but also our common sense approach.

For the future, we intend to keep bridging the gap. Small firms are unable to offer a broad range of services, but give a personal experience. Larger regional or national firms can tailor their service offering but at the expense of personal attention. We do both. This is supported by our Probiz network membership.
