Training
Here at England & Company, we are a committed training practice. This was validated earlier this year when we became a ‘GOLD’ ACCA approved training practice.
We aim to take on new trainees each year, post A-levels, and provide full study support for a 5 year training program to obtain the ACCA qualification. Our training package includes the following:
- Fully paid study courses, revision courses and study materials at BPP Southampton.
- Fully paid study leave to attend courses, for revision time and for the days of the exam
- ACCA qualification can be achieved in 5 years if all exams are passed.
- You will be assigned a dedicated ‘Trainer’ who will be one of our senior staff members. They will oversee your development.
- You will receive a good all round general practice training that you may not get if trained in a ‘department’ of a larger firm – you will be trained in everything from payroll preparation, to VAT, to Audit, to tax planning. This will stand you in good stead for not only your exams but also your professional career.
- Regular appraisals and meetings with the Directors regarding career development.
We train our team in all areas, and to run portfolios of clients with the level of work and complexity being tailored to a trainees level of seniority. It means that from the end of eighteen months with us, you have direct client contact and are involved in accounting, tax, corporate secretarial, VAT, IT and bookkeeping matters.
This massive training investment gives us a team of dazzling quality who are rounded practitioners. Totally worth it!
Our trainees say their work is extremely interesting, whilst we get to delegate wherever possible. It means we can handle more clients without putting in layers of management.
We will also support training for AAT, CIOT and ICAEW as well as post qualification study.
